OluwaMillar is an ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ: Millar’s Debut EP is Set to Delight

OluwaMillar drops his debut EP: ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ

OluwaMillar finally answers the calls of the streets for a project with the release of his debut, “ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ: the EP.” On this 7-track project, the artist embarks on a reflective journey, using his deep bag of rap skills to guide his listeners towards understanding who an Agbalagbi truly is.

OluwaMillar’s ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ shines with Storytelling and Collaboration

On the opening track, Millar shares a story of surviving a near-death experience and how that impacted his perspective on life. It’s followed by “Muri,” which shares a gripping tale of how some of society’s worst individuals are also victims of circumstances. On “Opelope Anointing,” Millar recounts many frustrating experiences that threatened to break him. But he assures us that he is beyond any definitions and boundaries on “RWDNFD.”

“Reverse Back” is a playful yet assertive track that highlights OluwaMillar’s confidence and charisma with the ladies. The project wraps up with two familiar jams: the lead single “Alubarika” and the titular smash hit track.

Millar’s collaborative spirit shines on his debut project. Jamz FR, Layo Isaac, and Bayoo bring their diverse vocal talents to the table with hooks and choruses that deepen the emotions expressed in the songs. There is a surprise feature credit to Dr Dunni Olanrewaju, sampled on “Opelope Anointing”, representing a full circle moment for Millar, who grew up listening to her classic gospel record. The most prominent guest appearance comes on “Reverse Back”, where Millar trades verses with MOJO AF – perhaps another full circle moment considering the numerous comparisons the public often makes between both emcees. Dinho and Kami split the production work, balancing gritty sounds with melodies.

“ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ: the EP” is everything you expect in that it is populated with stunning bars and wicked punchlines. Simultaneously, the project surprises by bringing in new layers of depth and vulnerability, showing a new dimension of OluwaMillar’s artistry.

Who is an ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ?

So, who is an ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ? An ÀGBÀLÁGBÌis a survivor who is confident enough to stand on business but humble enough to acknowledge the roles of a higher power in their lives. An ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ will indulge in the pleasures of life every now and then but will never judge the next person’s actions and choices.

So, even though he masterfully tells his stories from his point of view, this project was made specifically for you because you’re an ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ, too.

“ÀGBÀLÁGBÌ: the EP” is now available on all major streaming platforms. Dive in and enjoy Hip-Hop at its finest.
